Program Updates

The Arroyo Farm Lab – Arroyo High School

Eco Urban Gardens staff continue to care for the Farm Lab, cultivating soil, removing invasive weeds, fixing irrigation and distributing produce to the community.

Best of Thymes Garden – Rosemead High School

At Rosemead High, we added new garden beds, added timer controlled irrigation bubblers and have seeded winter crops like beets, kale, kohlrabi and radishes!

Students keep up to date on the garden during weekly virtual garden club meetings. During meetings students discuss how to distribute produce to the community, how to continue engaging the community during the pandemic and occasionally play online games for team building exercises!

Mountain View Orchard – Mountain View High School

The orchard continues to thrive during the pandemic as school maintenance staff and Eco Urban Garden staff maintain the health of fruit trees. Trees need regular irrigation assessment, stabilization, pruning and fertilization.
