Farm to School with EMUHSD
Arroyo High School Farm Lab
Our community partner VACF, Vietnamese American Cancer Foundation hosted a lemongrass workshop with us at the AHS Farm Lab. Volunteers and students harvested lemongrass bundles for the VACF Food Pantry and then tasted three tasty Vietnamese dishes and lemongrass tea! Thank you Starbucks staff for volunteering with us and City of Hope for connecting EUG and the VACF through the Healthy Living Grant.

Rosemead High School Best of Thymes Garden
Garden Club students are prepping for springtime by caring for fruit trees, harvesting lemons, planting spring crops and fixing irrigation. New ADA raised beds now have drip irrigation on a timer along with the strawberry towers. This will help plants survive during the hottest months of the year. Join us on Saturday February 25th at 9am to refurbish the RHS Marquee at the corner of Mission and Rosemead Blvd.

Mountain View High School Orchard
Fruit trees need a lot of pruning during early spring and end of summer. Most stone fruits need to be thinned out, removing excess branches and buds. This will help prevent disease and produce larger, sweeter fruits. Our favorite fruit tree expert Sanjay Gupta gave us a fruit tree pruning class on all of our orchards to support more fruit production!
